Property Description

Ten miles from the Saint Mary entrance to Glacier National Park, five deeded acres rise along a grassy ridgeline where a two-track road bends toward the beautiful mountains. This is the eastern, unhurried side of Glacier — the gateway to Many Glacier, the legendary hiking trails, and the kind of scenery that makes people rearrange their whole lives to be near it. A live stream crosses the property, so the sound of moving water is part of the package. Bring a tent and a camp chair and make weekends of it, or set your sights higher and tuck a cabin into the slope, framing those long views of the peaks to the west. With legal access already in place, the hard part is done; what's left is deciding how you want to spend your time here — fishing the world-class waters of Duck Lake and Lower Saint Mary, watching for bighorn sheep and grizzlies along the park boundary, or simply standing on your own ridge under Montana's biggest sky.
Babb is a small ranching community built for people passing through to the wonders of the park. Owning a piece of it means you never have to pass through again — you'll already be home. Local Area

Just on the edge of the world-renowned Glacier National Park, Babb, Montana is a small farming and ranching community in Glacier County. It is six miles in length with lots of shorelines to bask in the sun or explore. Fish, boat, view wildlife, or hike. The water is calm and serene for fishing or kayaking. Expect to reel in Brook Trout or Northern Pike. Wildlife that can be seen here include moose, bears, bighorn sheep, and Trumpeter Swans.
